Travel Tips: Things you need in your RV before you Travel

Traveling using a recreational vehicle is one of the most cost effective methods of traveling there is in the world. By using a recreational vehicle (RV), you avoid the accommodation fees, the transportation fees, and food expenses that you would otherwise have to pay. This leaves you with enough cash in the pocket to use on having fun and shopping. For your RV to be ready for travel, it will require some very useful things. Below is a checklist of such things.

1. Emergency details - Name and location of where you are going, the expected arrival date, the expected departure date and the contact person in the destination you are headed. This details ensures that in case of emergency, there is someone to contact in your destination

2. Camping essentials - Since you will be camping on a mobile house, you will need; a bed and beddings, cooking facilities, medical kit, tool kit, and motor vehicle spares, a bathroom, groceries, and some insect repellant.

3. Your RV's suitability for the road - You will need to have a driving license of the country you are using the RV, the engine of the RV must be road worthy, the RV must be fully insured, the roof of the RV must be rain proof, the interior must have some air conditioning mechanism, and the RV must have a fire extinguisher and some hazard signs.

4. Home contact details - In case of emergencies, your home contact details must be readily available in the RV, preferably somewhere visible such as a dashboard. This helps those that will be assisting you to have your details easily

5. First Aid Kit - It is required for every home to have a first aid kit. Since the RV is a mobile home, you will need to have a fully equipped first aid kit to use in cases of emergencies.

6. Communication and entertainment gadgets - You will need your RV to be GPRS enabled as well as have some form of entertainment such as a TV and radio. Of course you will be carrying your smartphone for ease of communication. Do not forget to carry the smartphone's battery charger.

If you cannot afford an overseas vacation, you are well informed to buy an RV and see the country. There are probably more destinations than you can exhaust in the US alone.
